Job vacancy Head of Finance

  South of Malta  

A Group of Companies is currently on the lookout for a Head of Finance reporting to the CFO to join their growing team 

Main duties include: 

• Preparation of consolidated financial statements including monthly management accounts, interim and year-end financial statements and annual corporate tax computations
• Regulatory and statutory reporting including compliance especially with regards to Malta Stock Exchange, MFSA and IFRS standards
• Overseeing Accounts Payable/Receivable, Tax, Treasury, Financial and Management Accounting Functions
• Play a leading role in the financial reporting process of the Company
• Presentation of financial results and analysis to internal committees and senior management
• Ensure that there are financial control policies and processes, as well as preventive measures in place, to track, manage and report on the Company’s financial resources and transactions
• Manage cash flow effectively to meet operational requirements and optimise liquidity
• Ensure there are appropriate/effective treasury controls in place
• Active participation in all planning and controlling activities in coordination with the Head of Financial Control
• Lead, manage and direct the Finance Team, ensuring members understand their roles and responsibilities and perform to the best of their abilities

Skill-sets and Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial accounting position
• Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance and reporting (IFRS)
• Fluency in both Maltese and English
