Summary
Manpower is seeking to recruit a Finance Manager to join to our client's team. The candidate has to provide financial management support by managing the financial resources of the company.

To engage in forecasting, budgeting, cost reduction analysis, and reviews operational performance; and supports the management team by offering insights that will allow them to make the best business decisions for the company.

Job Responsibilities
:

  • To prepare feasibility studies and investment appraisals.
  • To monitor capital expenditure and ensure this is kept within approved budgets.
  • To monitor and manage cash flows of the company.
  • To prepare budgets, forecasts and cash forecasts.
  • To prepare annual and periodic product costing budgets.
  • To record fixed assets acquisitions / disposals and track expenditure during asset construction.
  • To analyse stock holding levels and report to Group Financial Controller about risks and opportunities.
  • To assist and/or lead all ERP projects.
  • To ensure policy adherence for finished goods stock levels, production to stock and for recycling/disposal of rejected materials.
  • To ensure counting policy is adhered to.
  • To perform internal audits and ensure compliance to internal control framework.
  • To identify areas of cost reductions and operational improvements and to conduct analysis of costs, prepare reports and drive actions.
  • To monitor expenditure against budgets and ensure it is adequately supported with appropriate documentation.
  • To vet payment proposals and ensure that payments are properly documented, duly authorised and correct.
  • To ensure compliance to authorisation and approval limits policy.
  • To analyse and report on purchase price variances.
  • To assist plant production planning and operations management in evaluating cost effective solutions related to operational efficiencies.
  • To prepare end of month and year-end accounting.
  • To produce management accounts and internal reporting in a timely manner.
  • To prepare product profitability analysis reports.
  • To support management team in reviewing financial results.
  • To prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns and other VAT related declarations.
  • To prepare and complete national statistics reports.
  • To plan and support external auditors in carrying out the financial audit of the company.
  • To ensure compliance to general insurance policies.
  • To prepare and submit annual general insurance declarations.
  • To escalate risks and issues to the Group Financial Controller.
  • To ensure that journal postings are correct and complete.
  • To fully manage the accounts payable process, ledger review and analysis of debit balances.
  • To prepare and post accounting / inventory journals.
  • To process petty cash and card payments.
  • To ensure that standing financial data is properly maintained and financial processes are documented.
  • To follow-up on the timely closure of Production Orders.
  • To perform additional responsibilities as required by the Group Financial Controller.
  • To ensure a high quality/standard of work and service throughout.
  • Requirements :

    • Hold a Degree in Accountancy, ACCA or in its final stages;
    • Have a minimum of two years of proven experience in accounting;
    • Be competent in Influencing and Impact (including Conflict Management) and Project Management;
    • Possess excellent communication and IT skills;
    • Have strong analytic thinking and problem-solving aptitudes;
    • Be action orientated and a positive team player;
    • Be resourceful and committed to quality;
    • Be approachable and self-motivated;
    • Be able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
