One of our clients, a leading iGaming company in Malta, is seeking to employ a Financial Assistant to join their dynamic team. What is expected of you?
- Accurately record all financial transactions, categorize expenses, and maintain organized records for easy tracking and reporting.
- Perform regular reconciliations to ensure alignment between company records and bank statements, promptly resolving any discrepancies.
- Assist in organizing financial documentation and preparing reports for senior accountants, facilitating smooth financial processes.
- Support the preparation and submission of VAT returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and deadlines.
- Utilize Sage accounting software to input financial data accurately, maintaining up-to-date and organized records.
- Coordinate and manage financial schedules, deadlines, and appointments, ensuring timely completion of tasks and compliance with financial obligations.
- Depending on capacity and expertise, support other financial tasks such as annual returns and corporate matters to contribute to overall finance operations.
What are you expected to bring?
- In possession or in the process of obtaining an Accounting qualification
- Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles is advantageous
- Proficiency in using accounting software, especially Sage
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of VAT regulations and experience in preparing VAT returns is a plus
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
