Job vacancy Technical Assistant

Our client, operating in the marine technical field, is looking for a Technical Assistant to assist the Technical Director in the daily operations.  

Key Responsibilities  

• Coordinating technical requests/requirements, analysing them, and categorizing accordingly
• Assisting with drafting of reports for customers
• Assisting with analysing engine parameters and diagnosing possible engine issues
• Assisting with Reviewing of engineer’s service reports
• Provide suggestions to help improve technical processes.
• Assisting with creating training documents to be published and used in training school.
• Carryout training on turbocharger overhauls in workshop and onboard vessels
• Providing assistance onboard to engineers of their turbocharger works as required.
• Participate in projects and pursuit working meetings to provide technical input.
• Participate in internal meetings and activities and provide support as may be requested and/or delegated.
• Support knowledge management processes within the project.

Requirements  

• Previous experience in marine engines or turbochargers is a must
• Candidates having relevant engineering qualifications are preferred 
• Knowledge of turbocharger principles, product ranges and repair techniques with the ability to produce reports would be advantageous 
• Excellent communication skills in English 

Must be able to relocate to Malta
