Job Summary

Manpower is seeking to recruit a Stores Manager to join our client's team.

As a Stores Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the daily operations of the warehouse/stores within the hotel, including receiving, storing, invoices, orders and monitoring stocks of products or materials, while ensuring efficient coordination among the staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Handle and confirm purchases and orders.
  • Ensure stock arrives on time.
  • Monitor the inputting of invoices and request credit notes as per the predetermined deadlines.
  • Monitor inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
  • Supervise and lead the Stores team, assign tasks, and provide guidance, while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Collaborate with various departments, such as Food and Beverage, Administration, and Finance, to ensure that procurement aligns with their needs and supports the overall business operations.
  • Implement process improvements, technology enhancements, and best practices to streamline procurement processes and achieve greater efficiency.
  • Generate reports and analyse data.
  • Attend Stock takes if required.
Requirements:
  • A good standard of education.
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in inventory management, procurement, or logistics, preferably in the hospitality industry.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English language.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Must be a well-organised individual, able to work independently and flexible to learn and perform different tasks and duties.
  • Thrives to work in a challenging environment, able to work well under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
  • Contributes towards other hotel activities as appropriate.
  • Take environmentally friendly initiatives such as using recycling paper for internal use.
  • Willing to work flexible hours including weekends.
  • Previous experience with Materials Control will be considered as an advantage.
