Established in 2015, siliconmalta is a joint venture between Travis Laurendine, a serial entrepreneur, entertainment producer, Hackathon organizer and White House Champion of Change, and two brothers, Oliver and Sascha La Rosa, owners of a Global IT company with headquarters in Malta. siliconmalta's mission is to make Malta the tech hub of Europe by bringing coders from around the world, raising awareness of the country’s history and culture, and creating a professional learning and working environment for students and developers alike.

has already proven itself to be a great host to the world during the Valetta Summit and CHOGM. In 2018, Valetta will be named as the European Capital of Culture, and we plan to make the country the technology capital of Europe.

In November 2015, siliconmalta was present at the Web Summit in Ireland with its first project, the Feelings app, and will also be featured at the Collision Conference in New Orleans in April 2016.
